Using conditional fields

Conditional fields are used to filter slides so that they are not used on certain records.

PowerMerge understands two types of conditional fields:

Simple conditional fields have the form [IF|Field]. PowerMerge will not include a slide containing a simple conditional field if the value for the field is empty on the data sheet.
Conditional fields with a comparison value have the form [IF|Field=Value]. PowerMerge will only include the slide if the value for the field is the same as the comparison value.

You will use simple conditional fields when there are only two alternatives: to show or not to show the slide. Use comparison values when there are multiple alternatives.
